Very creative and unusual. For the hands to stay still in such away to be painted, and the artists steady hand would of required much patience. Bravo to you! I am so pleased that you took photographs.Because unlike other works of art.Once the hands were washed these one of a kind masterpieces would be lost for ever.

  28. Bogie @ August 31st, 2007

Credit for the original artist would have been nice. As it is, the blogger appears to take credit. The artist is Guido Daniele. Read more at http://animal.discovery.com/convergence/hero_of_the_year/guido/guido.html

I remember this idea being used years ago in a jewelry company’s ad campaign in major fashion magazines. Bracelets/watches would be around the “animal’s” neck.

//I think these were not painted, but photoshopped.//

Wrong. These are done BY HAND by a talented Italian artist named Guido Daniele.

  32. Bob @ December 13th, 2007

Oh, sorry Bogie. Didn’t notice your post.

I actually worked with Guido on an ad campaign. In fact, the hands painted to look like the giraffe and the bird directly below the giraffe is work he did for the ad agency I work for.
